I love date nights! It is a chance for some alone time with my husband and some away time from the boys. I believe that if you are married with kids, you should have a date night at least twice a month. It doesn’t have to be extravagant every time, it could be something like a picnic in the park or a drive in movie. Just make sure you are making time for your marriage.

Last night my husband and I had an amazing date night. It was well deserved, since we hadn’t been on a date in a while. We went to this very fancy restaurant called SW Steakhouse at the Wynn. The food was amazing and the view was incredible.

This was our view.

They sent out a funnel cake for dessert. It came with three dipping sauces: chocolate, caramel, and vanilla. By the time dessert came, we were pretty full, but I had to try it, and of course it was so amazing!!

Living in Las Vegas, you learn to enjoy the tables, and by tables I mean blackjack, roulette, craps, etc. We eventually decided to play a little blackjack to try our luck. We weren’t lucky this time, but we had a great time playing and conversing with each other.

I wanted to share with you some of my date ideas that my husband and I enjoy doing:

1. DINNER!

We always love to have a great meal. My husband knows I love steak, so when he picks a restaurant, it’s usually a steakhouse. The food is usually amazing, but it’s his company I enjoy the most, especially when our 2 crazy loud mouth boys aren’t around!

2. BINGO!

We never play to win in bingo, but we absolutely enjoy going. It isn’t about winning, even though it would be nice to win sometimes, it’s about spending time with my husband and doing things we both enjoy. Bingo isn’t that expensive either, so that is a plus.

3. SPA DAY!

Spending all day just relaxing at the spa with your husband, with absolutely no care or stress in the world, is simply AMAZING! You can get soothing couples massages, get sweaty in the sauna and steam room, and maybe even get pedicures (if you can assure your husband that you won’t tell his friends 😏).

4. SHOW/ENTERTAINMENT

Perks of living in Las Vegas is access to the top shows and entertainers the country has to offer. The shows here are absolutely amazing, and offer just about every genre for any age group! One of our all time favorites is a show called ABSINTHE. It has the perfect balance of comedy, raunchiness and acrobatics.

5. STAYCATIONS!

My husband and I enjoy mini getaways from time to time. Whether it’s for 3 days or just 1 day, it feels good to drop the kids off with their grandparents and go “away” for a little. Staycations are a very important part of our date nights, because it allows us to go do whatever we want during the day, and still be able to come back to a room with no kids 😉

Whatever date idea you and your significant other decide to have, just make it count. Keeping the romance alive in your marriage, especially when you have kids, is very important. Also remember; date nights don’t have to be over the top!  Subscribe to my blog, you won’t want to miss my next post!
